The TheaterMaker Mentorship Mastermind is a group coaching program designed to empower TheaterMakers to take their shows to the next stage.

No matter where you're at on your TheaterMaking journey, our Mentors are here to support and guide you along your path to production.

Our Mentors host THREE group coaching calls each week, focused on Writing, Producing and Marketing. These sessions offer invaluable insights, constructive feedback, and strategic advice tailored to your unique needs. 

Mentorship Members also gain access to our full suite of on-demand courses and masterclasses, a supportive community of peers, and a dedicated Slack channel for daily support.

What is the Festival Track? 

We are partnering with Next Step Theater Festival to provide festival production opportunities to our members.

 

You’ve written the show. You’ve developed the idea. Maybe you’ve even pitched it.

Now it’s time to put it on its feet.

The Mentorship Festival Track is a 7-month guided producing experience designed for TheaterMakers who are ready to stop wondering “How do I get my show produced?” and start making it happen.

You’ll receive the mentorship, education, community, marketing support, and performance opportunity you need to move your project forward — without having to figure it all out alone.

FULL PRODUCTION TRACK — Only 5 Projects Accepted

Your time in the program culminates in 3 mainstage performances of your production in the Next Step Theater Festival in May 2027.

Plus, this small cohort of festival track participants receive extra support along their path to guaranteed production:

The Next Step Festival was originally created by one of our Mentorship members to provide opportunities for playwrights to have their show seen in New York City. The TheaterMakers Studio is partnering with the festival to provide expert marketing and PR support, invite industry professionals to attend, and assist Festival Track productions with the production process.

The TheaterMakers Studio will mentor Festival Track participants through a crowdfunding campaign (optional), to help raise money for their productions in May 2027. TheaterMakers Studio will promote the Festival Track Crowdfunding campaigns to their membership base, on social media and beyond.

Monica Hammond

CEO of The TheaterMakers Studio & Marketing Professional 

Monica Hammond is a Producer, Playwright, Serial Entrepreneur and Theatrical Marketing Professional. She is the Founder of Big Leap Brands, a Marketing and Consulting Agency designed to help Experts, Coaches, Consultants, and Speakers take their expertise to the next level. She is also the Founder and CEO of Broadway Murder Mysteries and Curious Custom. She is the Creator, Playwright and Producer of The Spirits' Speakeasy and former Artistic Associate of The Attic Theater Company, which produced dozens of shows in New York City for its decade-long span. Before becoming CEO of The TheaterMakers Studio, Monica held the role of Director of Marketing for Tony Award-Winning Broadway Producer, Ken Davenport for nearly a decade, working on various Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, including but not limited to, the Tony Award-Winning revival of Once On This Island, A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical, Deaf West’s Spring Awakening, It’s Only A Play, Gettin’ The Band Back Together, as well as the National Tour of A Night With Janis Joplin. Eric Webb 

Writer & Dramaturg 

Eric Webb is a NYC based writer and dramaturg whose plays and musicals have been produced in NYC and Tokyo. As a dramaturg, Eric has worked with The TheaterMakers Studio and Ken Davenport since 2013 as Director of Creative Development, aiding hundreds of writers and composers in achieving their goals of moving from the page to the stage. Eric also previously served as Artistic Director for March Forth Productions, Literary and Marketing Manager for La Vie Productions, and Dramaturg for Young Playwrights, Inc. Writing projects in development include Rise (with composer Scott Wilkinson), Breakup - The Musical (with composer Stephanie Bianchi), and Thompson/Gifford. Previous writing credits include #JustBeYou (Random Farms Kids’ Theater, JOY Kids’ Theater), A White Man’s Guide to Rikers Island (Players Theater, Gene Frankel Theater), “Orion” (short film), The Angels of Mons (March Forth Productions/Horse Trade at Theater Under St. Marks).

Jonathan Hogue 

Producer, Writer & Director  

Jonathan Hogue is a Tony Award-nominated Broadway Producer and two-time Drama Desk-nominated Writer/Composer with speciality in new work development and creative branding from nearly a decade in Executive, Administrative, and Marketing positions for Broadway & regional theatre, advertising, and NYC live events. He is the Creator and Lead Producer of Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical (Book, Music & Lyrics), a parody of the Netflix series Stranger Things, which completed a hit nine-month off-Broadway run in 2023 and launched international runs in the UK, Australia, Spain, Brazil, Canada, and across the US (Drama Desk 2023 Nominee for Outstanding Book, Lyrics, and Scenic Design of a Musical; Off-Broadway Alliance 2023 Nom - Best New Musical; 7 BroadwayWorld 2021 Awards including Best New Musical). Other producing credits: The Queen of Versailles, Illinoise, How To Dance In Ohio, and Golem Owned A Tropical Smoothie.
